Grenade explodes at Manipur lawmaker's home

Imphal: A suspected hand grenade rocked the home of Congress MLA Keisham Meghachandra Singh on Thursday evening. The blast hit the gate of his residence in Bishnunaha, located in the Yairipok area of Thoubal district. It was 8.15 pm.

An unidentified person hurled the explosive at the property. Police arrived quickly to secure the scene and search the surroundings for suspects. Nobody was hurt in the blast. The motive remains a mystery.

Police have launched an active investigation into the attack. Authorities are still working to identify the assailant. According to police reports, "The identity of the attacker and the motive behind the attack are yet to be established." More details are expected as the probe continues.
