Government officials host public grievance camp in Kigwema

Kohima: Local officials held a Jan Sunwai camp at the Kigwema Village Council Hall on August 14. The event focused on the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, or DAJGUA, initiative. Nine villages from the Jakhama Sub-Division and EAC Kezhocha area participated. SDO (C) Jakhama Vineikho Tetso led the proceedings.

The session gave villagers a direct line to government services. Residents raised grievances and sought help with various welfare programs. Tetso explained the purpose of the gathering to those in attendance. "The camp provided a platform for villagers to raise public grievances and seek information and assistance regarding various government welfare schemes and entitlements," he said.

Department officials briefed the crowd on available resources. They fielded questions and offered guidance on how to access benefits. Members of the Adi Sewa Kendra from all DAJGUA-covered villages joined the meeting. The event aimed to speed up the delivery of public services to eligible citizens.
