Kohima: Fazl Ali College welcomed its newest class on Wednesday at the campus auditorium. The event introduced first-semester students in BA, B.Com, and B.Sc programs to the school’s academic culture and mission.
Vice principal L.S. Vinod addressed the crowd. He laid out the structure of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme. Vinod also handed out tuition refunds to ten high-performing students. The college grants a 50% admission fee concession to top pupils each year. This group included five arts students, three from science, and two from commerce.
Maongienla, an assistant professor of English, walked the newcomers through the college facilities. She detailed available extracurricular activities and student services. She also warned the students about the school’s rules. "Stressing the importance of adhering to the code of conduct," she set clear expectations for the incoming class.
Sashikokla Jamir chaired the meeting. Nungshitemjen Longkumer led a prayer to open the session. Parents and faculty watched as the new students began their college careers.
