Ex-Army Soldier Trains Baksa Youth for Government Jobs

Guwahati: Anupam Das is putting local youth through their paces. The former Army soldier has spent the last eight months running free physical training sessions in Assam’s Baksa district. He works with men and women preparing for the rigorous physical requirements of government recruitment exams.

The Baksa Mouza Ex-Army Welfare Association and the Baksa Physical Academy in Saderi co-host the program. Training starts every single morning. Das, who earned an Academic Governor Award, runs the drills himself. He wants to help those who cannot afford private coaching or expensive trainers.

Results are already coming in. Organizers report that several candidates who finished the first phase of the program secured government posts. Local residents are backing the effort. The students are grateful for the support. As one participant noted, "thanked Das for providing the training free of cost."
