Eight Injured in Border Shootout Between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati: Violence erupted along the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. A Mising youth took a bullet in the Lower Siang district. Authorities do not know who fired the shot. The situation remains volatile.

Tension between the Mising and Galo communities boiled over. A separate shooting incident at Mingmang Basti left eight people from Assam wounded. Local residents reported the cause as a land encroachment dispute. The victims are Sanjay Tayung, Durgeswar Patar, Rohit Doley, Nagaraj Doley, Pame Pegu, Utpal Doley, Jaan Doley, and Bigneswar Patir.

The clashes have rattled the border region. Officials are moving to investigate the shootings and stop further fighting. The region remains on edge as investigators wait for more information.
