Shillong: The East Khasi Hills district administration handed out a 15-day extension for Aadhaar e-KYC verification. This move impacts all Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Household ration card holders. The grace period started July 31. Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal issued a public notice urging holdouts to wrap up their verification quickly. He wants to ensure continued validity for everyone in the public distribution system.
Fair Price Shop dealers must now kick their efforts into high gear. They need to hunt down every pending beneficiary before the clock runs out. The administration specifically ordered staff to prioritize help for the elderly, the differently abled, and folks living in rural areas.
