Kohima: The Dimapur Municipal Council teamed up with the Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association to host a free medical clinic. The event took place at the DMC office in Forest Colony on July 11, 2026. Roughly 200 sanitation workers and their families showed up for screenings, consultations, and free medicine. Doctors from across the city donated their time to staff the stations.

DMC chairman Hukheto Yepthomi praised the staff for their work under harsh conditions. He said, "They endure some of the most challenging conditions to keep the city clean." The council plans to start anti-larval spraying soon to stop dengue outbreaks during the monsoon.

Medical specialists including Dr. Sharma, Dr. Sethi, and Dr. S. Debnath handled the examinations. Several other physicians, including Dr. S.K. Dey and Dr. Arenla Tali, also assisted during the day. The Lions Club of Dimapur Blue Vanda provided extra support for the camp.
