Dimapur Municipal Council Cracks Down on Illegal Construction

Kohima: The Dimapur Municipal Council is shutting down illegal operations. CEO Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo issued a stern notice today. The council has spotted people dumping trash on roads and drilling borewells without permits. They are also building homes without an NOC.

This stops now. Everyone must halt unauthorized work immediately unless they have prior approval from the council. The move targets all illegal construction and reconstruction projects within the municipal jurisdiction.

"The order had been issued for strict compliance," the notice stated. Violators will cough up a fine of Rs.3,000. Further penalties could follow under existing municipal rules for those who ignore the warning.
