Dibrugarh School Investigates Students Over Dangerous Gaming Challenge

Guwahati: A frightening trend hit Don Bosco School in Dibrugarh. Twelve students stand identified following reports of a dangerous game. Two students initially flagged the activity to a teacher. The administration immediately launched a probe into the ordeal.

The group includes eight girls and four boys. Authorities found scratch marks on the hands of several children. They used blade portions from pencil sharpeners or broken plastic to inflict the marks. None of the students suffered bleeding or required stitches. They received first aid and tetanus shots as a precaution.

Official teams from the district administration, education department, health services, and child protection office arrived at the school on September 11. Four separate teams conducted physical exams of eight students and reviewed classroom CCTV footage. Officials have yet to find a direct link to a specific online challenge.

School management and government officials agree that the children need immediate psychological support. They are pushing for better monitoring of online content. "The incident cannot, at this stage, be conclusively attributed to any particular online game or social media challenge," officials stated. Investigators expect more answers as the case progresses.
