Agartala: Members of the Oil Tanker Drivers Association in Dharmanagar stepped up to fund the medical care of Manashree. The young girl from Tripura is currently fighting a serious illness. Drivers rallied together to show solidarity. They want her home soon.

For several days, members walked through the ranks of fellow drivers with a donation box. They pushed hard for contributions. On Wednesday, the group opened the box in Dharmanagar. It contained several thousand rupees in cash. Many others opted for digital transfers, using QR code scanners to send money directly to the cause.

The association moved the money into the bank account set up for Manashree immediately. Beyond the cash, the group offered prayers for her recovery. This effort earned praise across the state. The move showed how collective action hits home. As the community noted, it is a display of people coming together when it matters most, "in a moving display of solidarity."
