Dhanamanjuri University VC Urges Students to Embrace Entrepreneurship

Imphal: Dhanamanjuri University Vice-Chancellor Prof. W. Chandbabu recently addressed students at Free Progress Academy in Konthoujam, stressing that self-reliance is a critical component for national development. Speaking during a programme focused on entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency, he linked these values to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.

As a convenor for Swadeshi Jagaran Manch in the North East, Prof. Chandbabu noted that his organization and the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan are actively working to build economic stability at the household level. He encouraged the audience to prioritize locally manufactured goods and boost indigenous production to strengthen the country's economic foundation. He also challenged schools to move beyond traditional academics, arguing that institutions must equip students with practical skills and values to succeed in real-world scenarios.

The event also highlighted institutional progress at Free Progress Academy. Principal Laidhangbam Indrakumar announced that the school is preparing to roll out activities under the National Education Policy 2020 starting in the 2027 academic session. Pointing to the academy's consistent success in the HSLC examination, Indrakumar invited parents and stakeholders to maintain their support to help the institution reach new academic milestones.
