Guwahati: Assam Tea has reached a new financial milestone after Deckiajuli Tea sold for a record price of Rs 800 per kilogram at the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre. This achievement highlights the increasing premium value and global recognition currently surrounding the iconic beverage.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the news on social media, noting that the state tea industry continues to grow in market strength. He credited the success to a long-standing legacy as the industry approaches its bicentennial anniversary.
