Daochier Imchen Takes Charge as Nagaland IPR Advisor

Kohima: Nagaland’s newly appointed Advisor for Information and Public Relations and Soil and Water Conservation, Daochier I Imchen, officially assumed his new role on June 8. During a meeting with senior department officials at his residence in Kohima, Imchen described his appointment as a homecoming. The event followed his recent electoral victory in the Koridang Assembly Constituency by-election.

Commissioner and Secretary for IPR, Orenthung Lotha, and Director Dzuvinuo Theunuo met with Imchen to welcome him to the position and offer their full cooperation. They provided the Advisor with updates regarding the department's current activities and ongoing projects.

Imchen expressed his gratitude to the staff for their loyalty during a difficult period, noting he previously held close ties to the department through his late father, who served in the same capacity. He thanked the team for supporting him during an “extraordinary situation” and requested that they accelerate the completion of projects started during his father’s tenure to honor his legacy.
