Imphal: CRPF Director General GP Singh touched down in Imphal on September 22. He spent the day tightening the grip on regional security operations. Singh led a high-level briefing at the Manipur and Nagaland Sector headquarters to address the state's volatile environment.
He demanded a hard line against instability. During the conference, Singh pushed for "zero tolerance towards violence and rapid peace restoration" across the state. His visit marks a two-day push to reorganize ground tactics and improve reaction times to sudden outbreaks of conflict.
The force intends to deploy more tech and gear to gain an edge. Officials confirmed that the agency is prioritizing the use of force multipliers to sharpen operational efficiency. Singh commended his troops for their "adequate and appropriate response" during recent flare-ups.
The chief also broke ground on new infrastructure. He laid the foundation stone for a Transit Officers' Mess and a Strategic Operations Conference Hall at the CRPF Group Centre in Imphal. Security forces remain locked in position as they work to stabilize the region.
