Agartala: Chebri Lotus Club launched its Durga Puja preparations on Friday. The group held a traditional Khuti Puja ceremony at their club premises to mark the start of the Sharadotsav season. Members chanted mantras and performed religious rites during the event.

Local dignitaries, including Uttam Adhikari, joined club officials and area residents at the site. The crowd prayed for a successful celebration and community prosperity. The club intends to transform the local space with a specific design.

Organizers will build the Durga Puja mandap to look like the ISKCON temple at Mayapur. This structure will combine devotion, artistry, and aesthetics to replicate the spiritual aura of the famous temple. The club claims, "The mandap will not only be a place of worship but also a centre for cultural gatherings."

Intricate lighting and decorations will fill the site. Volunteers and artisans have already started their work. The club expects the innovative setup to attract massive crowds. Preparation efforts will intensify throughout the coming days to ensure the festivities run with grandeur.
