Chandel District Hospital Launches Digital OPD Token System

Imphal: Chandel District Hospital officials rolled out the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Scan and Share system today. Patients now bypass long lines by scanning a QR code to generate digital OPD tokens. The update aims to speed up hospital registration.

Deputy Commissioner Hemant Kumar, IAS, led the launch event. He joined Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joyson Mongsang and Medical Superintendent Dr. Sarchung Moyon at the facility. They held the launch alongside the District Level Felicitation Programme for the 2025-2026 KAYAKALP Award winners.

The District Health Society organized the gathering to honor high-performing staff. Kumar praised the local healthcare workers for their commitment to quality care. He explained how the new tech simplifies the patient experience. He stated, "The introduction of the ABDM Scan and Share system would enhance accessibility to healthcare services by simplifying the OPD registration process and reducing patient waiting time."
