Chümoukedima Installs CCTV Cameras to Bolster Security

Kohima: Chümoukedima now has CCTV cameras at three town locations. The Chümoukedima Chamber of Commerce and Trade Association, known as the CCC&TA, confirmed the installations in an October 6 press release. These cameras track high-traffic zones to help authorities catch incidents as they happen.

The group noted that the tech makes residents and travelers feel safer. The project relied on the work of Aotula T Imchen, the Commissioner of Police for Dimapur, and Nagaland DGP Rupin Sharma. The association specifically thanked the local Police Department for their involvement. The CCC&TA stated the project would help "strengthen surveillance and public safety" across the region.

Future plans remain on the table. The trade body wants regular maintenance and expects to expand the network where needed. They asked for ongoing teamwork between local cops and residents to keep the town secure.
