Guwahati: Parents and residents in Cachar district are demanding an investigation into the Lailapur Forest Village LP School. They claim 150 students have gone without regular mid-day meals for nearly two months. The school sits on the Assam-Mizoram border. Meals are missing.
Families point the finger at headmaster Faizur Rahman. They allege he fails to follow government meal norms, offering only occasional biscuits or khichdi instead of full lunches. Rahman allegedly runs the school on his own clock. He sets his own schedule and calls holidays whenever he pleases. This behavior disrupts daily classes.
Tensions reached a breaking point during recent confrontations. Parents claim Rahman met their requests for answers with insults. One parent stated, “No proper meal for nearly two months.”
Allegations against the headmaster extend beyond the kitchen. Residents claim Rahman removed a school water pump and installed it at his home. The community is now pushing the Cachar district administration and the Education Department for a full audit. They want a fair inquiry into the food supplies, the headmaster's attendance record, and the missing equipment. If the investigation confirms these claims, parents insist on strict disciplinary action.
