Kohima: C-Edge College finished its 14th Freshers' Week in Dimapur on July 17. The week-long celebration started July 10 at the GK Auditorium. Lipokpenla Ao opened the finale with prayer. Wapanginla Ao, Dean of Management Studies, gave the welcome address before the college choir performed Believe In Him.
Keynote speaker Rongmei challenged the new students to stand up for their ideas. He told them to, "Own your voice and intellect," and warned them against letting complacency pass for wisdom. He pushed the students to assert their rights and never stop asking hard questions.
Daisy Shitio, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, led the awards presentation. Khrozo-u Kapfo earned 7th rank in the Nagaland University undergraduate psychology exams and took home Rs 5,000. Nikhuli Achumi and Khrozo-u Kapfo both won the Viwhesieno (Tsuno) Award for Girls Topper, each receiving Rs 5,000. The college also handed out the C-Edge Laurel Award for top GPAs.
Tokai Yepthomi and Neamkoe S won the titles of Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2026. Neamkoe S spoke for the BA first-semester batch. Ningthuiliu Pamei addressed the crowd for the seniors. Performers Tsutanso and Endtoli provided music for the event. Tsushila Y, Assistant General Secretary of the college students' forum, closed the night with a vote of thanks.
