Guwahati: The Bodo National Students Union took to the streets of Kokrajhar on Sunday, October 4. They want drugs off the corner. Hundreds marched from the union office through J.D. Road and R.N.B. Road to end at the Khargaon playground. This rally served as a loud warning against the rapid rise of narcotics throughout the Bodoland Territorial Region.

BoNSU president Banjit Manzil Basumatary spoke to the crowd about the grim state of the district. He demanded that both the state government and local officials stop dragging their feet and implement tougher enforcement. Basumatary insisted on immediate results. "The administration and the state government to adopt stricter and more effective measures to curb the drug menace," he stated.

Students and union members filled the ranks during the march. They pushed for a unified front between teachers, community leaders, and the law. The goal is simple: protect the youth from addiction. Participants spent the day highlighting the life-altering consequences of drug abuse while pushing for a coordinated campaign to clean up the streets for good.
