Kohima: Assam Rifles held a medical camp and interaction session for ex-servicemen and Veer Naris in the Noklak district. The Shamator Battalion welcomed roughly 50 veterans and family members. They addressed grievances, provided banking assistance, and offered health check-ups. Officials processed a CSD Smart Card application for Chapon Khiamngam, the widow of late Pashen, and handed the card over during the event.
Separately, Assam Rifles organized an educational tour for students from the Capt (Late) N. Kenguruse MVC Centre of Excellence and Wellness at Chieswema. The fourth batch of the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation visited landmarks across Cherrapunjee, Meghalaya. They toured Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, and Elephant Falls. This trip aimed to push learning outside of the classroom. The force stated the initiative reflects its "continued commitment to empowering youth through education and meaningful exposure, inspiring them to become responsible and confident citizens."
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai traveled to Mon and Lungwa to inspect the Indo-Myanmar border. He toured forward deployments alongside senior Assam Rifles commanders. The minister praised the troops for their work stopping narcotics trafficking and illegal movement. He met with local legislators and community leaders to discuss border infrastructure and the proposed fencing project. Rai promised that officials would examine all local suggestions sympathetically to ensure security and development.
