Assam Minister Ranoj Pegu Celebrates 13th Foundation Day of UBPO

Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu joined Minister Biswajit Daimary on July 18 at the 13th Foundation Day celebration of the United Bodo People's Organisation. The event took place at Bishnu Prasad Rabha Bhawan in Goshala, Maligaon. Leaders gathered to mark the anniversary of the group founded in 2014.

Pegu praised the organization for uniting Bodo members living outside the Bodoland Territorial Region. He credited the group with pushing for social, educational, cultural, and economic growth. The minister singled out their efforts in establishing the Bodo Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council to protect the rights of the community.

Pegu expects the group to keep serving the people. Regarding their future impact, he said, "UBPO would play an important role in the holistic development of the Bodo Kachari community while contributing to the vision of a prosperous, inclusive and harmonious Assam."
