Guwahati: The Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission is rolling out the Assam Incubation Project 2.0 to boost businesses run by women in Self-Help Groups. It is time to scale. The program offers financial lifelines and training to help these women grow their revenue and stabilize their livelihoods.
Eligible business owners can pull in grant funding up to 1.05 lakh rupees. Depending on their specific needs, they might also land interest-free loans or grants reaching 26.33 lakh rupees. The state is betting big on these entrepreneurs.
The project covers the heavy lifting of business formalization, bank loans, and skill development. Participants gain access to expert consultancy, specific sector training, and direct marketing help. The state wants to foster a new generation of business leaders. They call these women the “Maha Lakhpati Baideos.”
You must be a permanent Assam resident and a member of a registered Self-Help Group to apply. Your business needs a LokOS code and an annual turnover exceeding 12 lakh rupees. Send your applications through the official online platform. The deadline is October 2, 2026.
