Guwahati: A Nagaon family says the district administration tore down their ancestral home based on a lie. Abdul Kadir claims revenue officials submitted an erroneous report that tricked the government into the eviction at West Singimari village. The house stood in Laokhowa Mouza, Samaguri Revenue Circle. There is no pending court case for this land.
Kadir points the finger at the Lat Mandal and the Nazir. He alleges these officials steered the demolition crew to the wrong plot of land. While Kadir faces a separate land dispute with a man named Abdus Samad, the family insists that Samad bought a different plot entirely. Kadir says the state demolished his home while leaving the actual disputed land untouched. The administration has stayed quiet. They have not issued an official statement responding to the allegations. The family now wants answers. They are demanding a fair investigation into the incident, stating, "The Lat Mandal and the Nazir directed the administration to carry out the eviction on the wrong property."
