Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu handed out appointment letters to 131 new Post-Graduate Teachers on Thursday. The induction event, held in Itanagar, followed the completion of the Post-Graduate Teachers Examination-2025. Out of 5,774 original applicants, these 131 candidates cleared the preliminary tests, main exams, and final interviews to win their spots.
Khandu credited the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission for a clean, efficient hiring process. The agency underwent a complete overhaul to fix past issues and boost public trust. "Following the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to focus on reforms across every sector, we undertook comprehensive reforms in our recruitment agencies," Khandu stated.
He praised the increasing success of women in government exams. The state remains focused on Mission Shikshit Arunachal-2029, a project that already closed or merged over 600 under-used schools. The state now wants better outcomes over mere building counts. Students landing spots at top-tier global universities also receive major financial backing, with the state covering up to 75 per cent of costs for schools ranked in the top 150.
