Arunachal para-athlete Tingong Wangpan to represent India at 2026 Morocco Grand Prix

Itanagar: Tingong Wangpan is heading to Rabat. The Paralympic Association of Arunachal confirmed the para-athlete will represent India at the WPA Grand Prix 2026. The event runs from April 19 to 26 in Morocco.

Wangpan will sprint in the Men's T35 200m and 400m races. This competition ranks among the top events on the global sports calendar. It is a massive stage for the athlete. His selection follows years of grit and consistent results in the sport.

The association highlighted his track record at various national and international meets. They labeled his progress as a major win for the state. "Wangpan's journey would serve as an inspiration for aspiring para-athletes across the country," the group stated.

The Paralympic Association of Arunachal thanked the Sports Authority of Arunachal and the state government. They also credited his family, coaches, and support staff for backing his career.
