Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu visited Bhalukpong and Thrizino today to inaugurate a series of infrastructure developments. The projects focus on enhancing local sports facilities, improving educational resources, and providing government housing for staff in the West Kameng district.
Among the newly opened facilities are dedicated four-court badminton halls in Bhalukpong and Thrizino. These venues are designed to encourage athletic engagement among local youth. Khandu also opened four residential units for the District Administration Department and a new auditorium at the Government Higher Secondary School in Thrizino.
The Chief Minister set the stage for future growth by laying foundation stones for several upcoming initiatives. These include a new office for the Assistant Commissioner in Bhalukpong and various school buildings in Koilabati, Lepanghuda, and Subu. Additional infrastructure projects include a 20-bed hostel at Lepanghuda and a Nunnery Hostel and Conference Hall in Rangapara. Reflecting on the state's commitment to development, officials noted these efforts are "aimed at boosting sports culture among youth in West Kameng."
