Apunu Claims Victory at Zunheboto Guitar Contest

Kohima: Apunu took top honors at the SVEEP Instrumental Guitar Contest on September 18. The competition took place inside the DC Conference Hall in Zunheboto. Atohike grabbed second place in a field of nine total participants. The District Election Office organized the event to push voter awareness under the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation program.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dharam Raj noted that Nagaland residents hold a deep appreciation for music. He urged the musicians to act as ambassadors for their communities. The goal remains promoting clean, ethical, and inclusive voting. Raj stated, "Music can serve as an effective medium for communicating the message of clean, ethical and inclusive elections."

Hyunibu Aser Tep chaired the session. M Vitoho Sema offered the invocation, while Assistant Election Officer Bisalee Thonger delivered the welcome address. The ECI initiative uses creative platforms to reach the public.
