Agartala: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is launching a series of visits to India’s frontier regions to inspect security infrastructure and evaluate conditions in sensitive border areas. The tour begins on May 25 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, where the minister will meet with Border Security Force personnel and lead a high-level security review involving state and federal officials.
As part of this outreach initiative, Shah will travel to Bhuj, Gujarat, on May 29. During that visit, he plans to tour the Harami Nala region and review current deployments along the international border.
The minister is scheduled to arrive in Tripura on June 5. This visit centers on the 856-kilometer border shared with Bangladesh, where he will assess surveillance capabilities, infiltration prevention strategies, and overall infrastructure development. He will also coordinate with local security agencies to strengthen border management protocols in the northeast.
Following the trip to Tripura, Shah will continue his national security tour with a visit to border areas in West Bengal around June 15. The ongoing program highlights the federal government's focus on maintaining stable security and developmental progress across all sensitive frontier zones.
