Wokha Police Offer Reward for Robbers Who Targeted Elderly Man

Kohima: Wokha Police posted a 10,000 rupee reward for information that leads to the arrest of two unidentified men. These suspects assaulted and robbed 96-year-old Ekyimo Ngullie on July 7. The crime occurred between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on a forested stretch of road near Saron Colony. Ngullie was walking from Longla village at the time.

The attackers caught the man between the waiting shed and the prayer centre. Family members reported that the suspects covered Ngullie's face during the encounter. They took all his cash and important documents before fleeing the scene. Ngullie escaped physical injury. He could not identify the pair because they kept his face covered throughout the struggle.

Police promised to keep all tips anonymous. They want citizens to step forward with any useful details regarding the incident. Authorities stated, "The identity of anyone providing credible information will be kept strictly confidential." This case has rattled the local community, pushing officials to step up their efforts to track down the duo.
