Two separate Guwahati crashes leave one dead and four injured

Guwahati: Road violence hit Guwahati hard on Friday, September 18. Two separate accidents left one person dead and four others with serious injuries. Chaos erupted in North Guwahati and Lokhra. Officials are still sorting out the mess.

A head-on collision between two scooters killed Pallavi Newar at Madhyam Khand. Newar lived in Rajaduar. The crash sent three other riders to the hospital with severe injuries. They are currently receiving care at Narayana Hospital. Investigators have not yet figured out why the bikes collided.

A second wreck occurred at the Lokhra flyover. A commercial goods vehicle allegedly drove against traffic and slammed into a passenger car. The force of that impact pushed the car into a motorcycle. The rider suffered serious injuries. Police from the Basistha station arrived to help pull victims from the wreckage. Officials stated, "Further details regarding both accidents, including the exact circumstances and possible causes, are awaited."
