Agartala: Tripura Gramin Bank started work on its new head office in the Gurkhabasti area of Agartala. The bank held a foundation stone laying ceremony this past Thursday on the eve of Rath Yatra. This move signals a push to modernize the institution and tighten its administrative framework.
Chairman Satyendra Singh led the event alongside General Manager Anup Kumar Saha. Senior staff attended the site to celebrate the project launch. Management expects the new facility to improve internal efficiency and offer better infrastructure for local customers. The bank intends for the site to serve as a hub for future growth and rural development across the state.
Chairman Singh addressed the crowd during the ceremony. "This Head Office embodies our long-term vision of becoming a stronger, smarter, and future-ready financial institution, while continuing to serve the people of Tripura with trust, integrity, and efficiency," he said. The project remains a central piece of the bank strategy to expand its reach and improve financial services.
