Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha opened a series of municipal projects Thursday at Swami Vivekananda Maidan. He aims to make Agartala a clean, green, and tech-savvy hub. The government wants efficiency. His primary goal is to boost daily life for citizens through modern, accessible, and transparent civic services.
The Agartala Municipal Corporation rolled out several initiatives during the event. They launched the Sabuj Sena Amar Agartala mobile app to improve outreach. Officials also started a Mosquito-free Campaign. To tackle trash, the city flagged off 51 new three-wheeler vehicles for waste management and sanitation. These tools aim to strengthen urban infrastructure across the capital.
Saha balanced praise for progress with sharp words for his political rivals. He claimed the opposition prefers criticism over actual work. He urged corporators and public representatives to stay accessible and solve local problems with sincerity. "The government is preserving Tripura's rich heritage and culture while simultaneously leveraging modern technology to make public services more efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly," Saha said.
The Chief Minister insists that real success comes from measurable impact. He believes development must reach ordinary people to matter. According to Saha, the state is targeting balanced growth for both rural and urban zones to build a stronger Tripura. Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder joined officials and representatives at the ceremony to mark the push for smart urban governance.
