Three Dead After Highway Crash in Assam

Guwahati: A Hyundai i10 slammed into a metal railing on National Highway 37 in Khetri, Assam, on Tuesday, October 6. The wreck killed three passengers instantly. The car, registered as AS 01 DX 5663, carried a family traveling from Guwahati toward Nagaon when the driver lost control. The force of the impact destroyed the vehicle.

Three other people inside the car survived with serious injuries. Local residents and police arrived quickly to pull the survivors from the wreckage. Medics rushed the injured to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities suspect the car was moving at high speed before it veered off the road. Police are investigating the crash.
