Guwahati: A massive replica of the Swaminarayan Temple now towers over the 108th Tamarhat Sarbajanin Durga Puja in Assam’s Dhubri district. The structure cost Rs 1.5 crore. It is pulling in heavy crowds from across Assam and nearby West Bengal.

Architect Ratan Ghosh of Jalpaiguri designed the pandal. Workers built the frame using bamboo and detailed the facade with thermocol. Construction took four months to finish. A team of 40 skilled laborers from Kolkata and Medinipur handled the primary build. In the final month, nearly 100 workers labored daily to finalize the complex design.

The Tamarhat Sarbajanin Durga Puja committee leads the annual event. Committee president Sajal Kumar Singha and secretary Bethun Kumar Saha oversee the festivities. This replica stands as the main attraction of the 108th edition of the puja. Organizers noted the site is a major draw, stating, "The pandal is among the key attractions of this year’s celebrations."
