St. Xavier Higher Secondary School Hosts Literary Contest and Scout Ceremony

Kohima: St. Xavier Higher Secondary School in Shamator held a dual event on June 19. The school hosted a literary competition and an investiture ceremony for the Bharat Scouts and Guides. Colonel G. P. Singh, Commandant of the 32 Assam Rifles, attended as the chief guest.

Students showcased their creativity during the literary contest. New student leaders took their oaths during the investiture, pledging to focus on service and responsibility. It was a big day. Col. Singh took the stage to address the crowd.

He challenged the students to aim high. He pushed them to work hard and keep their focus sharp. "Inspire students to nurture ambitious goals and pursue them with determination, discipline and perseverance," he told the group.

The Colonel also spoke about the National Cadet Corps. He noted how the program builds leadership and confidence. He explained how NCC certification helps students when they apply for jobs or take tough exams. The school event wrapped up with a call for the youth to strive for excellence in every part of their lives.
