St. Joseph University Trains Faculty on AI Teaching Tools

Kohima: St. Joseph University in Chümoukedima hosted a two-day workshop focused on AI tools and smart teaching practices. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell organized the event on June 29 and 30 to help instructors sharpen their tech skills.

Chancellor Very Rev. Fr. Dr. J. E. Arul Raj opened the workshop. He pushed faculty to adopt new technology to build inclusive classrooms. He noted that AI helps bridge gaps in communication. "Language should no longer be a barrier to learning and communication," the Chancellor said during his address.

The training sessions covered practical uses for tools like Google Translate. Dr. Nagaraju Baydeti from NIT Nagaland led the first day of technical instruction. On the second day, Dr. Uzzal Sharma from Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya took over the lead.
