Gangtok: Soreng District hit a major milestone in the Special Intensive Revision 2026 process. Workers digitized 76.28 percent of all enumeration forms to date. That covers 46,593 records across four different assembly constituencies.
Rinchenpong leads the pack with 81.35 percent completion. Daramdin sits right behind at 80.17 percent. Salghari-Zoom reached 75.81 percent, and Soreng Chakhung remains at 61.94 percent. Officials confirmed that 47,505 total forms moved through the system. This reflects the "district's commitment to ensuring accuracy and transparency in voter data."
The clock is ticking. Collection of these forms stops on June 28, 2026. Residents must hand over their documents to Booth Level Officers before time expires. These officers will wait at polling stations on June 20 and 21 to help anyone struggling with the forms. This push aims to clear the path for an updated Draft Electoral Roll.
