Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang is setting up a special fan park at MG Marg in Gangtok for the live screening of the FIFA World Cup final. The title clash between Spain and Argentina kicks off at 12.30 am on July 20. Fans will watch the action on a giant LED screen at the city promenade.

The third-place playoff happens tonight to decide the tournament bronze medal winners. Tamang confirmed that area restaurants, bakeries, and eateries have permission to stay open until 3.30 am on July 20. This extension depends on businesses following safety rules and local laws.

Police and local authorities must handle security, traffic, and crowds for the event. Tamang expects a smooth operation. He noted the state has a deep history with the sport and asked residents to enjoy the game safely. "Football is a sport that brings people together," Tamang said.
