Gangtok: Sikkim officially launched its Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls this Saturday. Booth Level Officers are currently conducting door-to-door visits across the state to distribute enumeration forms and collect updated details from voters.

Chief Electoral Officer Raj Kumar Yadav confirmed the enumeration phase will run through June 28. By late Saturday afternoon, officers had already delivered forms to over 24,400 electors, representing roughly 5.2 percent of the state's total electorate. Officials expect this number to increase as they continue to compile and upload data from across the region.

The initiative aims to improve the accuracy and integrity of voter records by ensuring every eligible citizen is correctly registered. District election officers and electoral registration officers are supervising the project to guarantee a smooth, efficient process. Yadav encouraged residents to cooperate with officials to help maintain a fair and inclusive electoral system.
