Gangtok: Sikkim election officials are making one final push. The Election Department will host special voter enrollment camps across the state on October 11. This drive follows the recent Special Intensive Revision process, targeting eligible citizens who missed out on previous registration efforts.

The Election Commission of India ordered the move. The camps focus on first-time voters who turned 18 but remain off the books. Officials want these citizens to show up and get registered. Booth Level Officers and field staff will be stationed at polling sites to help the public fill out Form 6 for name inclusion.

District Election Officers and Electoral Registration Officers will supervise the work across the state. Current registration numbers show a dip. Sikkim reported 4,18,467 electors in the final roll published September 6, down from 4,71,018 voters recorded before the revision. The office stated the drive is "aimed at ensuring that eligible citizens are given an opportunity to secure their inclusion in the electoral roll."
