Shillong Medical College Hiring Professors and Associate Professors

Shillong: Shillong Medical College is hiring. The institution needs six professors and three associate professors to fill vacancies across various clinical disciplines. Applications remain open until 5:00 pm on July 10, 2026.

The college needs professors in physiology, pharmacology, pathology, forensic medicine, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynaecology. Candidates must hold an MD, MS, or DNB. Applicants also need three years of experience as an associate professor in a recognized medical facility. Military medical officers with equivalent teaching backgrounds are also eligible.

For the associate professor roles, the college seeks specialists in anatomy, microbiology, and obstetrics and gynaecology. Applicants must provide proof of four years of experience as an assistant professor. Those coming from the armed forces need five years of clinical experience, including three years of teaching.

All applicants must have published at least two research papers. They must also complete a basic course in biomedical research.
