Shillong: The All Shillong Gorkhali Chaatra Sangathan held the 6th Gorkha Freshers Meet on Sunday in Shillong. The event focused on welcoming new students and boosting community involvement. It drew a significant crowd.
Chief guest Sonnet Jose, an IAS officer, attended the gathering alongside guest of honour Sanjay Kumar Pradhan, who works as an Income Tax Officer. Students marked the occasion with various musical performances and cultural dances.
Organizers aimed to create a space for students to bond and celebrate their heritage. They confirmed the event successfully met these goals. As organizers noted, “The programme provided an excellent platform to connect with students, welcome the freshers and encourage their participation.
