Police complaint filed after Nagaon teacher smashes school fan

Guwahati: A science teacher destroyed a classroom ceiling fan at Alitangani ME School in Nagaon, Assam. The incident happened two days ago inside the Kathiatoli Education Block. The teacher, Dil Saddique, smashed the appliance while students sat in the room. He claimed the heat pushed him to do it. The wreckage left the school staff and students in a state of unease.

School management filed a complaint at the Kachua Police Station. They accused Saddique of complete disregard for school rules. Students skipped their lessons in response. A group of them marched to the police station to register their own dissent. The headmaster claims the teacher regularly tried to provoke pupils. He noted that multiple complaints regarding Saddique existed before this destruction occurred.

The local community is fed up. Critics pointed to a rapidly failing environment inside the classroom. Education Department officials are now reviewing the fallout. They have not yet announced a disciplinary path. The headmaster stated: "The science teacher attempted to provoke students and claimed that there have been several other complaints against the teacher." All eyes remain fixed on the administration to see if they hold him accountable.
