Imphal: Imphal East commandos nabbed a 28-year-old man on Wednesday for allegedly running drugs. Police acted on a tip. They stopped Md. Eliyas Khan, who lives on Hatta Central Masjid Road, as he attempted to move a shipment toward Kohima in Nagaland.

Officers searched the suspect and found 10 soap cases packed with approximately 130 grams of suspected Heroin No. 4. The haul is now evidence. The department has officially stated that the "accused was arrested in connection with the alleged drug-smuggling attempt."

Investigators are still on the clock. They are hunting for the source of the drugs and the true final destination of the stash.
