Kohima: North East Christian University in Dimapur wrapped up a two-day national online seminar on June 30. The event drew 293 nursing and healthcare delegates from across the country. They met to sharpen their skills in immunization protocols. Experts led sessions on immunology, cold chain management, and how to handle adverse reactions following vaccinations.
Organizers Dr. Athuo Saziini, Kapuw Kaini, Apao Hravine Neha, and Yhunsinle Tep coordinated the two-day program. Resource speakers included Dr. Seyie Rutsa, Prof. Deena E, Prof. L. Lidziisa Mao, and Khangembam Subita Chanu. The team taught participants advanced injection techniques and better ways to talk to patients about vaccines.
The seminar tackled vaccine hesitancy head-on. The committee stated the program aimed to "enhance the competencies of healthcare professionals and strengthen regional public health preparedness through improved immunization practices." Trainers used interactive tools like Kahoot! to keep the digital audience engaged throughout the sessions.
Attendees proved their knowledge through a post-test evaluation. Those who passed received professional e-certificates. The training focused on evidence-based strategies to fight misinformation and keep public health networks running smooth.
