NEZCC Calls for Research on Northeast Folk and Tribal Arts

Kohima: The North East Zone Cultural Centre is hunting for experts to document the region's disappearing traditions. The center wants scholars to track folk music, dances, and dying art forms across all eight northeastern states. This project covers Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

You must be an Indian citizen and live in the state you plan to study. A panel of experts will pick the winners. The official notification warned that the "Director of NEZCC reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason."

Grab your paperwork from local Art and Culture offices, the Shilpgram center in Guwahati, or the NEZCC headquarters in Dimapur. The agency also posted the forms online. Send your project proposals in by August 31, 2026. Miss the date, and you are out.
