New Meghalaya Assembly Building Remains Incomplete

Shillong: The High Powered Committee met on Thursday to check progress on the new Meghalaya Legislative Assembly building in New Shillong Township. This session followed an August 18 review of the site. Work continues behind closed doors. The committee kept the meeting outcomes private.

The main structure stands complete. Interior crews remain on the clock. Speaker plans to host the Autumn session there fell through because the project is not ready. The building sits empty for now.
