Agartala: North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited is hiring seven Junior Engineers for its power stations in Agartala and Sephaijala. Interested applicants must submit their forms through the careers page at www.neepco.co.in. The deadline for all submissions is 23:59 on August 31, 2026.
The agency needs three electrical engineers and four mechanical engineers. Electrical roles for SC and ST candidates require a full-time diploma in electrical or electronics engineering with passing marks. General category applicants need the same diploma with a minimum of 70 percent marks. Mechanical roles follow similar standards for ST, UR, and EWS candidates. Successful hires will earn a monthly cost to company of approximately 59,000 rupees.
Candidates face a two-hour examination consisting of two distinct sections. An aptitude test covers English, quantitative ability, and reasoning, while a technical test focuses on specific engineering disciplines. Both sections feature 100 total questions. Each correct answer earns one point, but "0.25 marks deduction is there for wrong answer."
Passing requires hitting specific score thresholds. UR and EWS applicants must secure 40 percent in each section. SC and ST candidates qualify with 30 percent marks.
