Itanagar: Naharlagun police recovered 12 two-wheelers, various jewelry, and other stolen goods during a massive theft investigation. The haul followed coordinated raids across Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Police filed Case No. 84/2026 under Section 305(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Inspector K. Dev led the operation alongside Sub-Inspector V. Linggi, Head Constable T. Kochi, and Constables T. Dawa, Sanu Raj T, and J. Sorang. SDPO Rishi Longdo supervised the team. The group tracked items taken from Naharlagun, Banderdewa, Nirjuli, and nearby regions.
The recovery list features several TVS Ntorq scooters, an Aprilia SR 125, a Yamaha FZ, a Yamaha R15, a Hero Xoom 125 ZX, a Hero Maestro Edge ZX, a Yamaha Ray ZR, and a Yamaha Cygnus Ray Z. Some bikes lacked plates. Others bore registration numbers including AR 01M 8202, AR 07 7255, AR 01W 3632, AR 01Q 6037, AS 12R 8608, and AR 02 2054. Police also found a registration certificate, two silver chains, one gold ring, two gold chains, a battery, a pump, and a Realme phone.
ICR Naharlagun Superintendent of Police Dr. Nyelam Nega praised the department. "The investigation is still underway," Nega noted. He expects more items to surface as the inquiry continues. Authorities warned residents to lock up vehicles at night. Owners should bring ownership papers to the SDPO or the Naharlagun Police Station to reclaim their property.
